Separation Party of Alberta - "Giving Alberta to Albertans"

  News Administration Contacts Home

Leo was born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan, and grew up on a farm some 40 miles west of Kerrobert, near the Alberta border. In 1963 he moved to Edmonton in pursuit of better opportunities. Leo labored as a Glassworker for some 15 odd years, and was a contract installer of overhead doors for several years.

During the mid 1980's when the NEP ruined Alberta's economy, Leo went back to school and earned a diploma in as an Electronic Technician, spending 10 years with one company in about 4 or 5 different departments.

Later on in life Leo developed the urge to travel, and spent the years 1995 to 2003 as a truck driver. During this time Leo went "wherever the wind blew [him]", traveling extensively throughout Canada and the U.S.A. This time was very educational, and the most enjoyable time of his life, with his only regret being that he never made it to Florida.

Leo has a daughter and grandson living in Calgary, and a son living in Montreal. Leo also has another son who has recently relocated to Saskatchewan, having moved along with his wife and two children from Legal earlier this year to escape the high costs of living in Alberta.

Leo retired last year, finding the time to become more politically active with the hope of making more people aware of their political surroundings. When the opportunity arose to support the Separation Party of Alberta, he found a better vehicle to bring some positive changes to the people of this Province.
