Separation Party of Alberta - "Giving Alberta to Albertans" |

I was born and raised in Ontario, where I joined the Army when I left home. I came West with the Royal Canadian Electrical Mechanical Engineering Corps, where I served as a heavy equipment mechanic.I became a Calgary Police Officer in 1967 and have since retired from the Police Service. I am currently working as a Commercial Real Estate Agent in Calgary primarily north and east and in the City.
I have a wife, Susan, 3 grown daughters, and 4 grandchildren. Susan and I currently live on an acreage near the community of Irricana.
I am a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and the Concerned Christians of Canada. '" I used to be a proud Canadian, however years after I retired from the Calgary Police Service I was called to Ottawa to testify in a case involving a pedophile I had dealt with as a Police officer. This man was convicted as a "Repeat Offender" which, when he was convicted, meant he was to serve an "indefinite" period of time. He was released a couple of years later, thanks to the Parole Board. Part of his defence was based on Trudeau's idea that the Government has "no business in the bedrooms of the nation". This pedophile used the defence that every person has the right to choose their sexual partners. The girls were 5 to 8 years old. I have become sickened by our judicial system, where more and more Judges make our laws rather than interpreting and applying the laws made by those we elect to Parliament and the Legislature.
I feel that Alberta and the West have not been treated properly or fairly. It became obvious that Ottawa only wants our wealth, resources and work ethics, and not our voice. The last Federal election is only the latest example of this. Since before Alberta became a province, we have been fighting to be treated fairly by Ottawa without success. That, combined with an obviously corrupt and arrogant Federal Government, leaves Albertans with little choice. I believe that Separation has become our only option if we are to preserve our values, and have anything left to pass on to our children.
