Cory Morgan is 33 years old, born in Red Deer Alberta. His family relocated to Banff when he was six. He graduated from Banff Community High School in 1988 and attended SAIT from 1990-1992 in Business Studies. He is the father of three children and is dedicated to building a better Alberta for their future.
Cory has been employed as a geophysical surveyor in the Alberta oilfield for the last 12 years. This has enabled him to meet people from all walks of life and see most of the province first hand.
In the early nineties Cory was an active member of the Reform Party and aided in two federal campaigns. He served as a director for the Alberta Party from 1999-2000. In 2000, disenchanted with the other parties platforms; he founded the Alberta Independence Party. He led the party into the 2001 provincial election and ran in the Banff Cochrane constituency. The unexpected early election call forced the Alberta Independence Party’s candidates to run as independents. The AIP candidates had promising showings in several ridings despite the handicap of running as independents.
The formation and registration of the Separation Party of Alberta has now provided Albertans with a rational and viable alternative to the status-quo. Cory feels honored to serve the Highwood constituency as the SPA candidate.
