I was born in Calgary, Alberta in 1954, and am 50 years old. I was raised in the neighborhood of Victoria Park. I am proud to be a 3rd generation Albertan.

I have been married to my wife Thea for over 20 years. We have 5 children who are either living on their own or attending high school in Chestermere.

We have been living on an acreage East of Conrich for the last 8 years.

During the Oil Boom of the 1970’s I worked on a Survey Crew until I pulled a muscle in my leg. The pulled muscle turned out to be a malignant Bone Tumor that was diagnosed as Bone Cancer. After 1-˝ years in and out of hospitals I won my battle. Unfortunately it resulted in the amputation of my Right Leg.

Later I became a Journeyman Electronics Technician and have been working for a large telecommunications company for the last 10 years. As a Design Support Technician, I work with a team of engineers in Research and Development, where I take an active role keeping our Production lines around the world up and running. This experience has given me a unique understanding of a broad range of issues relating to the Environment and Globalization.

It has taken me over 30 years to become an Alberta Separatist. I will always have a strong emotional attachment towards Canada. However, I feel that Alberta and the West have not been treated properly or fairly. After the failed attempts of the Reform, Alliance and Conservative parties both Federally and Provincially, to bring our voice “IN”.

It became obvious that Ottawa only wants our wealth and not our voice. The last Federal election is only the latest example of this. Even before Alberta became a province, we have been fighting to be treated fairly by the Federal Government without success. That combined with an obviously corrupt and arrogant Federal Government leaves Albertans with little choice.

For over 100 years Albertans have wanted “IN”, Now Albertan’s are starting to seriously look at other options, and more of us are concluding that we want “OUT”.
